Spray tanning provides a beautiful and safe sunless tanning alternative! Skin cancer and premature aging skin are the effects of excessive exposure to UV rays from the sun or use of tanning beds. It is therefore important to limit UV exposure and protect your skin as much as possible.

Spray tanning is accomplished by application of a tanning solution to the outer layer of your skin. The main active ingredient DHA (dihydroxyacetone) is considered by the FDA to be a safe and effective alternative to UV exposure. DHA is a natural sugar compound and reacts when applied to temporarily darken the skin. The coloring does not wash off, but gradually fades as your skin sloughs off dead skin cells. DHA is safe, and the only color additive currently approved by the drug and food administration for use in sunless tanning products when applied externally. I offer several solutions based upon skin type and the type of tan you are aiming for! Solutions in general have different percentages of DHA which gives spray tan artists a variety of solutions to have on hand for all skin types. Due to the ever-changing chemistry and hormones of our bodies, your skin is not in the same exact condition as it was during your previous session and therefore it is normal that your tan may not look exactly the same each time.

There is a potential for bronzer to rub off on clothing, car upholstery, and bed sheets however since DHA is a sugar compound, it does wash off easily! (with the exception of silk!)

It is recommended to get a spray tan 2 to 3 days prior to a special event. If you are getting married, take advantage of the two tan bridal package. It is recommended to have a trial session 4 to 6 weeks prior to your wedding and 2 to 3 days before your big day!

Have no fear, sunless tanning solutions have evolved significantly over the years which means you will achieve a nice sun kissed glow or dark tan based upon your preference and solution used for your particular skin type.

Just like a spray tan artist, a tattoo artist will also need a nice clean skin surface to work on. With that being said, it is recommended to avoid having a spray tan done right before you have a tattoo done. Tattoo artists tend to disinfect and or shave the area prior to providing services which will remove your spray tan from that area.
Being that spray tan solutions only adhere to the top layer of the skin; it does not impact healed inked skin.
Since tattoos alone pose a risk of infection, Alluring Aesthetics Spray Tan LLC will not spray over a healing tattoo that has been acquired less than 4 weeks to avoid risk of infection or jeopardizing the healing process.

Chlorine: Rinse off after swimming in a pool. Chlorine that sits on your skin can slowly fade your tan.
Hot tub: Unfortunately, you will be too hot for the hot tub! Soaking in a hot tub may cause your spray tan to diminish drastically. Save the hot tub for the end of your vacation or after any special event that you are on vacation for.
Beach: The ocean with a mix of salt and sand is nature’s natural exfoliant and may cause your tan to fade quicker.
Sun block: Ingredients of certain brands will fade your tan. It is recommended to use waterproof sunblock which will give you an extra skin barrier against pool chemicals.
Continue to moisturize: A tan extending moisturizer can also be applied (containing DHA) on day 3 or 4 to help prolong your tan.

Women are safe to have a spray tan in all stages of pregnancy as well as mom’s that are breastfeeding. However, it is recommended as a precaution that you speak to your doctor beforehand as everyone is different and gives everyone a piece of mind. Disposable bras are recommended to be worn during the spray tan application.

Body wash/soaps: sunstyle shower gel, native body wash, sjolie body wash, hemp nation, x-tan, hempz body wash, sunless bronzite body wash, unfiltered body wash, melted soapery, sheamoisture coconut & hibiscus, puracy natural body wash, love beauty and planet majestic moisture body wash shea butter and sandalwood, cetaphil, mrs meyer’s clean day body wash.
Otherwise, any products that are free of oils, alcohol, petroleum, paraben, and sulfates.

Lotions: hempz body lotion, aveeno active naturals moisturizing lotion, shea moisture coconut & hibiscus lotion, maui babe after browning tanning lotion

All solutions used by this company have naturally derived DHA ingredients,100% vegan, free of parabens and erythrose. Derived from natural ingredients the solutions used are also gluten and formaldehyde free (No DMDM Hydantoin) and does NOT contain any mineral oils, sulfates, glycols, petrochemicals. Solution has been tested on happy clients instead of animals!

The solution is an odorless formulation to avoid the typical spray tan smell. Clients are amazed that it is not stinky and that it also dries extremely quick! This allows you to dress quickly post spray and will avoid transferring off since it is non tacky.
